Is live TV coming to Roku?

This is a great step in the right direction but watching ANY video on my iPhone is not going to work for me. I can’t see things up close.
I have to watch TV from a distance so I can focus on it. An iPhone does not cut it as a video playback device.

PLEASE, bring this to Roku.

I saw in another post that it will, eventually. They said all clients they have now will support it over time. No exact time frames given.

I’d like to see this too.

I use a number of different devices with Plex such as an Apple TV, Amazon Fire TV (4K capable), Amazon Fire TV Stick, Roku and Smart TV app. I don’t hold out much hope that the Smart TV app will ever support Plex DVR Live TV but it would be nice to see on everything else.

Clearly they are hard at work on this though because presumably Apple TV will have support in a month or so.

Imho, since plex uses a centralized server for distributing content to its clients this is a “easy” implementation. They just need to update the clients (Android, roku etc) to support the video stream. And of course the server needs to be powerful enough.

Just my opinion. I know easy is a relative term here

It will be coming at some point in the (not too distant) future
