I see client updates coming out for the other platforms, what’s the plan for WebOS. LG store says the client hasn’t been updated since 2016. Should I wait, is an update coming?
It is updated regularly. The store shows when it was created… check the version number
Yeah, the app you see on the LG store is kinda like a boot loader. Once it runs on your TV it downloads an updated version of the “actual” client direct from Plex.
Follow the announcement thread to receive notifications when new versions are available.

Using your web app on your server using your favourite browser, look for “Authorised Devices” and you will find your current LG TV WebOS app version. Alternatively on your TV go to settings / about and you will find the same.

Is Plex Client for WebOS 1 still being developed i.e. LG TV 2014 model year?
All recent updates seem for WebOS 2+
Current plex client seems to currently work ok on my 2014 55" UHD TV but any client updates would be appreciated
