My computer is running a gtx1080 along with a i7 6600k, so I know its not that, but the app is just awful to use, the progress bar for songs doesnt move smoothly and updates only every two seconds, scrolling takes a bit to catch up, items take a while to highlight, yet the web app is a silky smooth 60fps+ at all times, anyone else have this issue?

YES! PMP and Plex for Windows have both become very sluggish lately.
The Plex web app runs silky smooth too, but I don’t want to use it for Media playback because it’ll transcode some things and I would rather watch in original quality.
It is actually unbearable how unresponsive PMP and Plex for Windows have become.
Yeah I don’t understand how its so botched, at this point it would be faster if it was just a chromium wrapper.

I have ran ‘Repair Installation’ on Plex Media Player and that improved responsiveness - it even helped the Plex for Windows application.
The issue I have now is that scroll speed doesn’t match across the 3 applications. Both desktop applications should be set to the scroll speed of the web application.
Also with Plex for Windows when posters are loading they fade in which decreases the perceived responsiveness and looks ghastly.
I still had the now removed plex uwp app and tried that out, its actually fast, it works so much better, and I don’t think its been updated since 2017, how does that work better? Get it together plex.
Super slow and sluggish also here. Surface Pro 4 i5 8GB.
Yeah I don’t get it ts awful, its gotten so bad that I have to use the website version to keep my sanity.
