I have been using Plex Media Player and it has worked seamlessly. Today I downloaded and installed Plex for Windows, version 1.6.3.1009. Immediately I found it to be choppy and unresponsive at times. I wanted to see how the sync functionality worked and the app became completely unresponsive. So much I had to force close the app in Windows Task Manager.
Streaming for the most part is pretty good however the app becomes a little choppy. In particular, the progress bar is jumpy and progression is not smooth. Also, occasionally buttons have a delayed response.
The bottom-line is, the app should not have worker threads running on the UI thread. Features are consistent with Plex Media Play and perhaps a bit better but please help with the over responsiveness of this app. I can start the latest Plex Media Play and the UI is completely responsive.
