Is there a log for file deletions

I’ve noticed that some of my conent has been deleted. I wanted to check Plex’s logs to see if it is deleting files. Is there a specific log to check

Plex by principle doesn’t touch your files.

Unless you explicitly enable the dangerous option
Settings - Server - Library - (Show Advanced) - ‘Allow media deletion’
But if this is not active, Plex is not the culprit.

Except if you use the DVR feature, which has the option to delete files after certain time periods or episode quantities

If this is about a DVR-related feature, then you better ask in the DVR beta subforum.

I agree. I thought it was a general log question, even if you enable that very dangerous feature.

I am sure the deletion will leave a trace in the general Plex Media Server.log.
AFAIK there is no special deletion.log

But I don’t have this feature activated and so I don’t know how a deletion will look like as a log entry.
Though I guess the particular file name would appear there.

I found the answer. It was recording preservation settings that were on on a different library, then applied to the content library
