Why is Plex "deleting" some episodes?

The other day I noticed that Plex is rescanning my library and indicating that it has deleted some episodes. They are not actually gone from either my Plex library or from disk, but showing under the status as “deleted”. Is this a matter of the metadata changing on TVDB or something? Thanks in advance.

I’ve noticed this as well. Seems to start up as soon as I log into the web interface.

Are you guys using Plex DVR?

I read that deletes some things that aren’t necessary. Is that what is going on?

I’m on Version 1.4.3.3433 which includes DVR. I just upgraded to that the other day and this seems to have just started happening.

I’ll bet it’s nothing to worry about, but just in case we’ll flag @sa2000 to reassure us - or investigate.

Prepare some log files:

Drag zip file to message window and drop it.

I am running the DVR, but cannot check specific version or generate logs as we are in midst of a widespread power outage. Could be days according to the gas/electric company! 81mph winds yesterday…uugh!

I am running DVR but the messages I saw tonight are about movies. The files and library entries are not actually being deleted. I have none of the auto delete options turned on.

It’s probably some kind of clean up operation - who knows what’s going on behind the scenes, I sure don’t. If @sa2000 shows up he’ll know, but until then if everything is still working I wouldn’t worry too much about it - yet. Keep an eye on it and report any mushroom clouds.
