Is there a plex app/client for Firefox OS on Panasonic cx700 televisions? The 2015 models

 

The firefox os apps are HTML5

 

Or does anyone know if the browser(firefox) can connect to the webbased client (plex.tv/web) so you can stream from there?

You can connect to the plex.tv/web and stream from there.

Regarding the app, I can access my Plex mediaserver via the Devices button on the Home screen, however I can’t play any of its contents (I still don’t know why…).

Afaik: There is no app for Panasonic TV:s just yet.

Yes, but we can use the plex webapp.

Okay, thank you! i’m using the webapp to play the content on the CX700.
sometimes you have to click on the screen to get the video started (like pause unpause).

It would be really great, i’m using my ps4 at the time where the cx700 panasonic remote is natively used to navigate via vireo connect. But a native app would be better !

Would really like to see a proper plex app for the new Panasonic range of TVs.

100% agree - just picked up a CX850 and I would love the support - I have a ROKU but I don’t feel like buying a whole new ROKU 4 just so I can get the 4K streaming.

My Panasonic CX700 is also waiting for native app :slight_smile: For now web app and chromecast are working fine… but native would be great

I join the long line of those waiting in anticipation of the Plex app being available for Panasonic Firefox OS. Are we waiting in vein or is something on the horizon?
