Plex web app not loading on Panasonic TV

Hi - I think the consumer frustration at there not being a Plex app for Panasonic is well known. In lieu of this I have been using the web app - so at least I can actually use Plex.

Now however the plex web app just does not load. It doesn’t matter whether I hot the public address or the private address. Basically I get asked to authenticate, this goes through no problem, the page starts to load, it finishes loading and all I have is a completely black web page.

Has anyone else seen this behaviour? Can anyone give me some pointers?

Sorry - to add to this - all of the other devices that use plex on my network have no issues displaying the web app.

Many thanks for the information - yes that is exactly the behaviour I am seeing.

The TV does run Firefox OS and browser - just for completeness!

I have to say that having paid for a plex pass I am very disappointed with Plex - and certainly won’t be renewing my subscription. That having been said I won’t be buying another Panasonic TV either.

I think its interesting that the devs say that streaming to a browser on a TV isn’t a typical use case. I have seen threads on here as a result of there being no Plex App for Panasonic that say that this is exactly how to use Plex on a Panasonic. It strikes me that Panasonic TV’s are not a core use case for Plex.

I think all we can do as you said is cross fingers and hope - this is terrible though for a service that has been paid for. It worked when I bought the subscription :frowning:
