Plex is the only streaming app on this piece of junk. I’m not going to buy a TV set-top box for a television that’s still under warranty.
Does anyone know of a way to use Firefox OS on a Panasonic television? Plex on the television is working less and less well with the server. Ultimately, I’m thinking of installing the old version of the Plex server from a year ago, because it still worked reasonably well then.
Plex no longer supports Panasonic TVs running Firefox OS. The Plex app on the TV is most likely well out of date and may not work well with current versions of Plex Media Server.
No Longer Supported TVs
While we previously offered apps for the following smart TV platforms and models, they are no longer actively supported. An older version of our app may still be available on the devices, but the old app will not be receiving updates, may not be compatible with newer features or server releases, and could stop being functional in the future.
Warning: Since these platforms and models are no longer supported, we encourage users to instead make use of a modern Plex app on a supported platform. For instance, we have Plex apps available on Roku, Chromecast, Apple TV, Fire TV, Android TV, game consoles, etc.

2014 and newer Panasonic sets (including those running Firefox OS).
I do not know when Plex dropped support for Panasonic TVs. I did not see anything in the Announcements section of the forum (but I may have missed it).
Consider using a supported streaming device such as a FireStick, AppleTV, etc. That will allow you to run a current version of PMS. Avoid the new “Firestick 4K Select” as it has a new OS and the Plex app has very limited capabilities.
I will not buy a TV BOX for a television that is still under warranty, and besides, it is for an elderly person who needs simple operation with a single remote control.
By the way: I honestly do not recommend Panasonic televisions. They do not care about the software in their equipment at all. Now that Plex is no longer working, there will be no such programme on their televisions based on Firefox OS.
I have an idea. Let them make cheaper TVs that are just a screen with interfaces, like TV monitors, and we’ll have to connect some computers or TV boxes to them.
