Is there a way to add a MusicBrainz ID to a music file/directory, like we can do IMDB for movies?

If I have 2 music artists with the same name I can put them in separate directories and use Fix Match in the GUI. But, I would like to rig the filenames with the artist info so that in the event of a rebuild, it happens automagically. Is there a way to do that for music files?

There’s nothing in the documentation that says that exists, but it’s not a bad idea. Either in the folder/filename, or in a .plexmatch file, like was recently added to TV Show libraries.

This would be a good candidate for the Feature Suggestions forum.
