Is there a way to connect internet cable to Plex?

Being a “cord-cutter” type, I have Comcast Xfinity cable, but opted to use the apps instead of a cable box. Is there a way to connect this to Plex LiveTV?

You’ll need a cable card and this:

The prime 6 is not available yet if ever. You might be able to find a older version on ebay. You can get a ceton infinitv cable card. You will also need to run ceton proxy to emulate a HDHomerun tuner since these cards are designed to work with Windows Media Center. This is what I use and works great.

Are you talking about connecting to the Plex provided “LiveTV”, or the PlexPass required local DVR functionality?

You should already have a network connection, PMS requires that (ostensibly for codec licensing requirements,) already. Plex provided LIveTV should be visible on that.

PlexPass DVR… @enduser is right for coax CATV (probably the majority of cases.) When you say “cord-cutter” are you intending to stop delivery of TV services and get your content in some other fashion?
