I’ve been using Beyond TV with a process that cuts commercials and encodes to h.264 for years. Now that Plex can record shows and cut commercials, is there a way to have it convert the .ts file that Plex creates to another format? Either using it’s built in transcoder or possibly Handbrake?
I have both HDHomeRun Extend and HDHomeRun Dual models (and older models).

The Extend can be set to send h264 video to Plex for recording. The container will still be a ts file. You can also try turning on the Trancode feature for the Dual model. You should be able to setup a post processing script to remux the ts container to a m4v or whatever container format you would like.
