The cover art in Other Videos used to display in portrait mode until a server update that forces it to landscape. As documented in thread “Can I get around landscape cover art in Other Videos?”, this has caused damages to our libraries and a lot of pains to many users as we’ve had spent many hours in setting up the personal video library collections. I recognize that there might also be a need for landscape mode for some users (like the way it is today), but it shouldn’t be introduced at the expense of the existing users who already have thousands of video files relying on the portrait display. I think the best way (that should have been done in the first place) is to add an user option to choose the cover art display orientation, at least for the “Other Videos” library type. Any help to get this on your roadmap or to expedite it will be much appreciated, as we have been suffering from this for such a long time. Thank you!!!
There’s already an existing suggestion discussing an option to customize the poster layout/orientation per library. I suggest you comment/vote in that thread in order to help us avoid distracting or cannibalizing votes. Unless I’m missing some unique aspect of your suggestion I’ll close this thread as a duplicate.
