I have been using Plex for quite a while, as I like the way it automatically sorts your library. However, I am not a fan of its lack of native DSD support. If I open my files in an app such as Audirvana, they only have the metadata that came with the file, not all of the nice metadata that Plex has assigned. Is there a way of saving the metadata that Plex assigns it to the actual file, instead of having it only show up in Plex. I have tried apps like Picard, but it does not seem to work on most of my files.
sorry, plex doesn’t write any tags or metadata to files.
all metadata is stored within the library database, or internal metadata file system.
Is there a possibility that in a future update you could add the ability to write to files?
I can’t speak for plex, but I would not expect it to change.
That’s…bizarre. In what way doesn’t it work? It can’t write tags?
I can tag the files manually, but none of the autodetect features work. It always finds the wrong songs.
