Is there any way to influence server display order?

Server Version#: 1.14.1.5488 (three servers - Windows 10x64, QNAP and Synology)
Player Version#:2.23.1.70

Is there any way to influence the order in which Plex servers are displayed in the XBox player?

I’m running three servers but two of them are purely for back-up, i.e. if I’m away from home and something has happened to the Windows server I can fall back to the primary NAS server (which also contains the primary video storage) or, if the primary NAS has fallen over, I can fall back to the secondary NAS server (which contains a back-up of the video).

In my ideal world, and YMMV, server selection would be like that on the Firestick and Windows where only the libraries for the selected server are shown but it’s not like that on the XBox - all server libraries are shown.

I’ve tried renaming servers in the hope they are displayed in collating sequence but that doesn’t work. I’ve tried closing down the back-up servers, deleting them from my account then adding them back in after checking the XBox is only displaying the primary server but that doesn’t work either - as soon as the other servers are reactivated they take pride of place at the front of the list.

I thought I read that Plex will automatically select the last server libraries used but that’s not what’s happening.

I’m not sure if this is relevant but the Windows server was the last one I created and it is always shown at the end of the list. In fact now I think about it, the servers are always displayed in the order they were originally created.

I’m sure someone is going to tell me I’ve missed something obvious but if I have I’ve no idea what it is.

Any ideas please?

Thanks.

Kevin

It looks like installing Kodi then running the Plex add-on does this. Of course this may bring its own issues but I’ll give it a go and see. Maybe it’ll also solve the intermittent buffering issue as well.

I would still like to know if what I wanted to do originally is possible.

Hmmm, interference on the sound in Kodi for a file that plays perfectly on native Plex. :frowning:
