Is there something odd about Top Gear?

I have added all of the Specials to my system recently, using TVDB data to add the correct season and episode number - the same way as I do for all my other shows.

Plex does dot seem to be matching the show, and there is no metadata coming through for the show or the episodes. I even tried moving them to a stand alone library but the same thing …

I put everything in a directory called

Top Gear

and my file naming convention is

Top Gear - S01E43.mp4

Am I doing something wrong? Very confused as this has always worked before.

Different suggestions, don’t know if you’ve tried them yet:

  1. Have you tried naming the directory Top Gear (2002)?
  2. Have you tried Fix match?
  3. Did you name the specials S00Exx?

@teppsta assuming its this show (thetvdb.com/series/top-gear) and you have named your files as per that show from TVDB then try and match via the THETVDB.COM SERIES ID which is 74608.

That should sort it out for you.

BTW… check your specials – I think Top Gear - S01E43.mp4 might need to be Top Gear - S00E43.mp4

FYI: PMS 1.21.2.3943 has been released which addresses a known change (and problem for us) with matching. You might want to check it out and see if that now properly matches .
