I don’t know if anyone else has this issue, but with the new version, I no longer have a desktop that reflects my local media. It used to show “continue watching”, “on deck”, “recently added movies”, as well as “recently added TV”.
Now, it’s all web based media. Can I somehow get the old desktop back?
Thanks-
I’ve moved this into an own thread as it wasn’t really related to the other thread you posted in.
From your description it seems like you’re not actually signed into your Plex Account. In such a case you’ll only see the online media sources of Plex.
Can you double-check you’re properly signed in when opening Plex for Windows and your server is actually online?
Good thought…I’ll check.
No wait, I can get to my media by going to “more” and then my server, It’s just that I no longer have a “Home” screen which shows my media. It only shows web media. I can go to each of my Libraries and see them that way, but I can’t see what of my media is on deck or recently added.
I don’t really care for the web stuff. I’ve been using Plex to sort and show my media.
thanks-
You probably need to pin those libraries to add them to the regular main navigation (not just under More
).
On the top of the home screen you’ll find a pencil icon (next to the poster-size slider). If you currently manage the home-page content manually you should be able to reset the page customization – alternatively you can let Plex manage the home page content automatically for you (usually this means it’ll show on deck / continue watching on top, then recently added content from your own / shared libraries and at the end content from whatever online media sources you have pinned)
That did it. The pin tab (in my case) was in the “hamburger” to the left of the section. Once I pinned it to the home page, the rest was other slight modifications to get the screen looking like I wanted.
So thanks so much!
(now if I can just figure out what caused the change!)
Thanks Again
