Issue on Android app with subtitles (not appearing)

Hello All,

At the moment I am running into a really strange issue.

When I am trying to playback a file using a subtitle file (.ssa) It works completely fine on both the app.plex.tv and the IOS app. However the moment I am trying out this file on my android app it only works on lower qualities for some reason. Once I go to the original video size it does not show app.

I have genuinely no clue why it isn’t working on android as the Subs work fine on all my other devices.

Server Version#: 4.50.1
Player Version#:8.11.0.22186

Anyone possible has a clue what is going on?

What happens if you convert the ssa to set?

Tested it and .set doesn’t work. Changed it to .srt but still the same issue when trying to play it via the original file. 720p it is there but extremely out of sync. Other locations issue still not there.

“Conversion” is not the same as simply changing the file name extension.

Well it originally was already in a text based format so there shouldn’t be an issue there. I am just not sure why it works everywhere else but on the Android app with Specific quality settings.

The issue also only seems to happen on this specific series. On other ones I don’t have this.
