Issue Recording Yankees Games - Add ability to blacklist channel

I have a lot of issues recording NY Yankees baseball games using Plex DVR. The issue is, if you live in the NYC area, 99% of the games only play on the YES network. ESPN broadcasts the games nationally as well but they dont play in the NYC area.

The issue is, I setup Yankees schedule to record all yankees games and it will record the ESPN channel instead of YES network even though its not actually broadcasting the game. I dont know if this is an issue with the Guide data or something else.

Originally I fixed this issue by choosing to only record the scheduled events on the YES Network channel. The issue is, some games are aired on a local broadcast channel instead of YES. So I end up missing those games.

Can plex add the ability to black list a channel for a schedule or perhaps allow to set priority channel for a schedule?

Another way to fix it would be to allow us to manually set a recording of an episode on a channel even though it wants to record on another. It wont let me manually go and force it to record on WPIX when Yankees air on the channel because it realizes its part of the schedule and shouldnt record it.

Does anyone have any suggestions to fix this?

No suggestions, other than to use a product other than Plex for recording. I’ve been trying to get a Plex dev to acknowledge this nasty bug for two weeks. You’re not alone.
