I noticed in the last few beta changes and the recently release server 1.12.1.4885 there seems to be issues with once chosen to be recorded i.e. NBC nightly news 11pm channel 4 for me out of NYC, it only finds and schedules Monday through Friday. It use to find and record the Saturday and Sunday programs that run at the same 11pm time. At times I noticed NBC has had 3 program events to cover Sat, Sun and Mon thru Friday. But in Plex I can’t tell and only see the to record and when chosen can only see that it is the 11pm program and when I check the schedule its only setting the recording schedule for Mon through Friday and not the weekend days too. It use to work right. But I dont know if Plex was scanning for the guide from whatever sourcing to properly and include the Sat and Sun in the scheduling. Its possible PLEX is handling them differently but would think if found and seen as 3 programs it should show me 3 programs of those days but that it does not do either so I cant select them independently. Again I only saw one in the past and it recorded all 7 days which was for only 11pm as the only time. Can you fix this to either show all 7 days under the one programming for 11pm or if a must 3 for 1 sat and 1 sun and 1 for mon thru friday 5 days?
UPDATE: your problem is this. If I choose new and old airings it includes the Sat and Sunday 11pm episodes of NBC news. If I chose as I normally do NEW EPISODES only it does not choose the Sat and Sunday 11pm episodes so you indeed have a bug in your code! I was able to reproduce it by flipping between the recording choices. I found this by seeing in the programming guide once viewing the next Monday 3/26 episode the forward and backward arrows to see if Sat and Sun would show and indeed they are there. But its the what to record NEW or REPEAT episodes setting thats messing it up.
Also while I have your attention, when a program is scheduled, records and is eventually played and deleted as an episode for that day, the plex recorder will record the next occurrence of it as it seems to be relying on the presence of a successfully recorded program in the episodes library to determine if it should record the same replayed program later in the same day which it is considering new for the day which it should not. So if NBR on channel 13 PBS comes on at 6:30 pm EST it is also replays at 11pm and if I then watch my 6:30 successfully recorded episode and then delete it, plex decides to record the 11pm as if it thinks it did not record it properly which if was the case would be fine and good to do. But PLEX should use some other marker as a way of knowing it has successfully recorded a show and NOT use the mear fact that a recording exists in the library of episodes. I have noticed if i do not delete the 6:30pm episode in this case the 11pm does not record.
AND THANKS for adding the function to the server to allow me to now play an in progress recording from beginning while it records the rest of the program!
