GoPro (in this case Hero 11 Black) has an “auto-rotate” function so that videos play with the correct orientation even if they were recorded with the camera upside down. I believe this is achieved with some sort of metadata in the MP4, as I can see a “Rotation: 180” in MediaInfo for those files. Plex seems to respect this metadata when playing the video, but not when it scans the files to generate the thumbnails (poster & background). As a result, thumbnails appear all upside-down.
