I recently started to use smart playlists. I think they are fantastic!
The issue I have is that it seems editing the filters uses a lot of system resources and causes a timeout when too many filters are used. I can see how slow things get after adding multiple filters and have even managed to create a filter that just throws an error when editing.
I had wanted to create a filter with a dozen or more criteria, but seems irreversible errors are caused at about 4, even if they are simple filters.
Now it appears that this issue is largely dependant on how many items are in the library. In my move library there is no problems, but with the tv show library with 1.2k shows, the issue shows up.
I also found the same issue reported by another user here: [BUG] Plex web player cant create / edit smart photo playlist with more than one filter option Seems like he had an issue much worse than mine, probably because his library was much larger, but looks like it may be the same issue.
