Issue with subtitles

I renamed ‘Season O2’ to ‘OLD’

Are you actually typing an Ooo instead of Zero? They are not interchangeable. Verify that both the video files and the subtitle files use actual zeros in their names.

lol… good catch. let’s hope it was a diagonal fat finger.

Here is an idea, rename all of your files to Victoria (2016) SXXEXX.en.srt and Victoria (2016) SXXEXX.mp4

One thing that is very important when naming and saving files is that we have to check THETVDB, IMDB, and Wikipedia for shows of the same name. Often when we add stuff to Plex, it assumes we mean the original show, unless we specify which year it came out. It just so happens that there was a Victoria (2007) that is listed as having only 1 season. So that might be the problem as Plex might be confusing the two as it can’t tell a difference in the content, as the names of the two shows are identical. When I add a new show, I always name it The Flash (1990) in the Top Level if it is the first instance, then just The Flash SXXEXX.mp4. But if it is show with the same name in a later year I do The Flash (2014) in the top level folder, and then each show name gets The Flash (2014) SXXEXX.mp4. That way there is no confusion as to what year it is. But that has solved many of my issues with files not being recognized correctly, and then I don’t have to re-associate, or edit things.

2016 - https://www.thetvdb.com/?tab=series&id=302205&lid=7
2007 - https://www.thetvdb.com/?tab=series&id=317114&lid=7

Another thing I noted from your XML is your naming path, and filename. Your naming path is “\SERVER\plex\Media\TV Shows\Victoria On Masterpiece\Season 02\Victoria On Masterpiece S02E05.mp4” for your video. It does have “Victoria On Masterpiece”, not just “Victoria.” So you have to be consistent with the same name on everything. I am sure they are all named the same, but it is a good idea to double check at times.

If you want to quickly rename everything in a folder, what I use is Bulk Rename Utility. It is the best program I found to custom rename all the files at one time.
http://www.bulkrenameutility.co.uk/Main_Intro.php

So, I copied all the files off the server, deleted everything, and re-analyzed etc. Then created the file structure exactly as thus:

Victoria = Season 01 = Victoria - s01e01.mp4 + Victoria - s01e01.en.srt
======== Season 02 = Victoria - s02e01.mp4 + Victoria - s02e01.en.srt

The subtitle files are recognized in both folders, so I assume something about the previous naming scheme wasn’t working.

BTW, thanks all who suggested solutions. I appreciate your assistance.
