Is it a known issue (or just my issue) that the XBox One app no longer accurately tracks watched and unwatched. Up until very recently I never had issues with this. I would watch a show and it would accurately mark it as watched. However, since a recent upgrade (coincided perfectly with the release of Premium Music) shows are no longer marked as watched. I have to close the app completely (quit…not just back out) and re-open it. When I do this it will accurately reflect shows that I have watched.
I was wondering if this was just an issue that I am having or a wide-spread issue? If it is a larger issue…are there plans to address it?
Love the app and use it daily…just wanted to make sure you are aware of the issue. Let me know if you need any more information from me.
I just got the update to the XBox One app last night. I think it looks great. However, the issue “Unwatched/watched status of season/show may be incorrect” shown in the “Fixes” section here https://forums.plex.tv/discussion/130706/plex-for-xbox-one#latest is still not fixed.
I watch a show, and it reflects that show as being watched when I am within that show, but on the main screen that lists all of the shows…the number does not decrease when a show is watched. I still have to exit the app and re-open it for the number to be updated.
Again, not a huge deal…but it is annoying to have to close and re-open to see where the unwatched shows are.
I can confirm this issue. It is still there. Unseen is updated only when I quit the app and relaunch it. Should be updated as well on resume from sleep mode and after I finish watching the show.
I can confirm it is both an issue still and bothers me more than ever… This should have been a priortized issue, since it has been there for so long now… its just not reading the server. I have to restart the entire XB1 or reset the app by uninstalling it, erase appdata and so on to get it to correctly read the server info… PAINFULLY annoying at this time…
I generally work around things as much as possible. However I too find this very painful. It is annoying having to drill down into each show to see if there are new episodes ready or not. I have delayed posting on this as I had hoped it would be fixed within a reasonable time period as it is a very obvious bug, however it has been present for a very long time now. Is there any plan to address this?

Just for some specificity. It does remove the badges on the episode list as well as on the season list. where it does NOT remove it is when you are browsing the parent shows list.
Glad to see there is an update pending. It wasn’t until we started watching a lot of TV content via Plex that I noticed I had to quit all the way out to force indicators/counts to update.
