Issues getting Plex Dash & Plex Amp to work at all

Hey all.

I’m tech savvy but not nitty-gritty savvy.

I decided to download the Plex Dash and the Plex Amp apps to give them a spin but I haven’t had any luck getting either to work. I’ve been able to sign in on both, however Plex Dash will not populate with any relevant information. It doesn’t seem to show currently running streams and doesn’t ever load on pages like ‘top charts’ and the like.

On Plex AMP, it let me sign in but then takes a while to load before giving me a message stating that there are no servers and asking me to sign in, again.

I’ve tried the app on my iPhone XS Max and my iPad Pro 2020 to no avail.

I was curious if others on here might have some suggestions on troubleshooting. Is there some sort of settings I need to enable within my server itself, or possibly my router? Just curious as to why it’s not seeming to work at all.

Only explanation I have is all of the following:

  • You have DNS rebind protection on your LAN.
  • You have remote access disabled.
  • Your router doesn’t support loopback.
  • Your server is set to require secure connections.

Any chance this is the case?

Otherwise I’d love to figure out what’s going in.
