Issues migrating PLEX from DSM6 to DSM 7

Well no, if I did there was no problem…

I’ll try.
It is named “Plex”, so I don’t know where it went wrong.
As I said, I got no errors on the first install (as I apparently should)

Thanks trumpy81. I was having the same issue where my library didn’t migrate. These instructions fixed it for me.

This is why I stopped using my Synology for Plex. So much hassle. Went back to my windows PC. Plex worked on my NAS, but windows was just easier to deal with. But was trying to use it again, so I updated my NAS to the newest versjon, and now nothing of plex works. I have now DSM 7. So I tried install it again, because it told me to do so. It ■■■■■■ me over. I get the “need access” notification. And I followed the instructions, but still doesn’t work. This shouldn’t be this hard. Always problems with NAS and plex.

“A problem has been detected with a core component of Plex Media Server”.

What component? What problem? So vague.

And why doesn’t plex have a support line? I was a Plex Pass member, but the lack of a propper Customer Support made me stop. User should not fix problems with a paid service.

But over to the problem. Any ideas? Simple ones. I’ve seen long solutions further up, but when it takes really complicated solutions to fix something like this then it’s the fault of the developers. And also why I should be able to contact customer support directly. No offense to the people here at the forums. You guys do a really good job. But it’s a job you really shouldn’t be left alone to do.

It all of the sudden works… Don’t know why… After 10 or so reinstalls.
