I use NextPVR to record programs on my Windows PC. On some shows, I have MCEBuddy zap the recorded .ts files and then save them to the directory that Plex Server watches (using the TS Unprocessed profile). On other shows, I save directly to the Plex library directory. This issue below can occur regardless of whether MCEBuddy was run on a particular file.
On my Android TV devices (a Shield Pro and a Fire Stick 4K Max), I will often get an error when trying to play a file: “An error occurred while attempting to play this video. Please check your connection and try again.” However, I never have any issues playing those same files through Plex on my iPhone, Mac, Apple TV 4K, iPad, or Windows PC. It’s not a wi-fi issue, since both my server PC and Shield Pro are hard-wired to my LAN.
Any idea as to what could cause this issue and how I might solve it?
