Issues with Dolby Vision & Audio Delay on Plex Preview (Apple TV 4K)

Hi everyone,

I’d like to share my experience with the latest Plex Preview app on the Apple TV 4K (2022) and highlight a couple of issues I’ve encountered:

  1. Dolby Vision Playback: Unfortunately, Dolby Vision content does not play correctly—it defaults to HDR instead. However, when using Infuse Pro, the same content plays in Dolby Vision without any issues.
  2. Audio Delay with AirPlay & Sonos: When streaming audio via AirPlay to my Sonos system, I experience noticeable sound delays. Interestingly, this issue does not occur when playing the same content using Infuse or the Apple TV+ app.

I’d really appreciate it if the Plex team could look into these issues, as resolving them would significantly enhance the viewing experience.
