Issues with EPG in Romania and with the TV Butler tuner

Hello,

I had previously given up on using the TV Butler tuner with my plex installation. However recently I decided to give it another go.

I live in Romania and the support for my country is HORRENDOUS. I don’t understand why plex doesn’t support OTA EPG (the one that the cable provider sends - but that’s besides the point now).

I fiddled in the past with adding a new fast_scan transponder profile for Digi Romania:

[SATTYPE]
1=8027
2=DVB-C ROMANIA (Digi, Fast Scan)
3=RO

[DVB]
0=1
1=306000,V,6900,QAM256

However, every time I would try to use it on my rpi3 installation after choosing this profile, the tuner service would crash, leading me to believe that the profile I had created was bad.

Please notice the segmentation fault.

For one of my other projects i purchased an XBOX TV Tuner and I tried to see if it worked with linux and plex.
To my surprise this “UNSUPPORTED” tuner got further with my plex setup than the “SUPPORTED” one.

Basically after choosing the same profile with the xbox tuner, plex went ahead and found all the channels with their correct names.

However it got stuck in the next step:
Where it asks for the language for EPG. Whatever I value I chose in the dropdown box I could not add continue to this form:

I think there are 2 issues here:

1. TV Butler driver crashes (and while I’m sympathetic that the company that produces them is no more, it is still a supported device for you)
2. No OTA EPG support

Are there any plans to fix these 2 problems?
