I seem to be having an issue after the last server update and playing some files on Android devices and Plex web. Is anyone else having these problems?
I am able to play MKV files of HD TV shows but MKV movie files stop playing after 10 to 30 seconds and freeze while the sound skips around playing short clips from different points in the film.
I am thinking this may be a DTS transcoding issue but want to know if others are experiencing this and it is a known bug or if I need to spend time trying to check all my settings.
Which clients work for you? Are those clients that do work perhaps Direct Playing and the Android’s aren’t?
Try and gather the logs from the period of freezing, it should give us a clue as to why. You can check for “Speed” to see if the server handles trancoding OK or not

I’ve been having similar issues with dts files recently on my chromecast and ps4. Haven’t really had time investigate properly or get clean logs… But that was on a wired connection (ps4) and a chromecast that works very well with other high bitrate files. Also checked the logs and “speed” was around 11… So not an issue. It’s something going on with the file’s transcoding. Worked well on my android devices though.
If I get some free time I’ll get logs and comment more.
Something must have happened to corrupt my files I checked the files again and could not get them to play at all on any devices, re-downloaded my movies from the last two weeks and all seems ok now.
