The Plex Movie Agent returns 1/ which is incorrect. 2/ is expected. Same behaviour for the movie “Fantomas” (“Fantomas Collection” returned, “Fantomas - Saga” expected).
What exact version of French have you set for your library?
It appears, the differences you show apply to Canadian French and French as spoken in France. Interestingly, even the US translation is using “Le Gendarme - Saga” as its title.
Sorry, I’m not currently using the automated collection creation. From what I remember they were downloaded correctly in my library language (German) — I didn’t like some of the „fluctuations“ when users of TMDb violated their guidelines for collections or deleted some of the ones I was using.
The main issue is that the TMDB agent is working fine and other products (Emby) are getting the right name for the collections. It seems that the new Plex Movie Agent has a different behaviour and is not getting the right data from TMDB.
I’m asking if there’s any known limitations or issues. Does the missing translation only apply to the title or also the description of your automatically created collections?
There is no missing translation. For some collections in TMDB, there are 2 different names.
The first one which is returned when you are doing a search on a movie name for example. This one is incorrect and is picked up by the Plex Movie Agent.
If I search for “Le Gendarme de Saint-Tropez” and I click to see the result for the collections, TMDB is showing "“Le Gendarme de Saint-Tropez Collection”.
The second one which is returned when displaying the page of a collection. This one is correct and is picked up by the old TMDB agent and the other tools.
