I have been a subscribed plex user for about 10 years. Every so often my plex with go into a phase where it loses the server constantly…. Today, I have uploaded the latest server app more than 7 times. Everytime it goes back to good and about 10 minutes later it is gone again. Back to reload…maybe it will work maybe it won’t. Why does this randomly happen? Is there anyway to fix this. I have restarted computer, checked internet was working. My backup drives working. Yet, the server has been disappearing all day
I’m currently having this issue in my logs:
“API rate limit exceeded” status=“429”
but its online and port forwarded but remote access won’t connect - connects after retry andddddd then nada.. so i can’t get outside my home currently. I need help but wanted to detail my issue to see if similar.
I need Chuck
Looking at your account , I see 15 server entries.
Which can be deleted ? (there are some old ones there)
– or — which do you want to keep ? ![]()
We will need more details about your server (host OS, implementation, etc) and Logs ZIP file as well. First, let’s start cleaning up
Thanks Chuck
Dopekitchen.US V2 is the current active server, Host OS is ADM 5.1.0.RN42 on a AS5304T-B941. Plex is running within the docker engine app. ports confirmed fully forwarded.
sorry, replied to this post logged in another browser. lja914 is me
Would you like me to remove the abandoned (years old) servers ?
I have reset your server’s certificate. Restart it and it will be OK.
yes please! and i do indeed see it working/connected. I appreciate you!
I’ve removed all the old server entries . They ranged from over 1 year to over 7 years.
When you next restart the player apps, they will be gone
awesome! Chuck Your the GUY!
I have Plex working on several devices. Samsung TV (getting slower by the day), Amazon firesticks (works perfectly) and a Roku device.
The Samsung barely loads up anything, the app is getting slower as the TV ages, is there an update for this? Also Roku, I can watch a film on an amazon firestick - without problem, i try the same on the Roku device and it fails to load up after 30% (Any advice?)
