It does not open from Russia plex.tv (PLEX.TV не открывается из России)

Щелково телеком и мтс заработало только что.

Mine still doesn’t work.

My Internet operator is Rostelecom (Moscow)

I wrote to the operator and he informed me that there are no locks on his side. The problem is that there is no access to mskix.amazon.com

In Saratov, the same problem is with beeline, MTS and Megafon operators

Only DLNA works, the server does not load on the same network for about 5 minutes.

Confirming issue from Rostelecom in Russia.

Tracing dies somewhere in Amazon.

Is there any way to escalate issue to MSK-IX and Amazon?

It’s a pity that I was blocked plex. I’m switching to Emby.

It’s sad that Plex doesn’t work -(
I think jellyfin is a better option.

I really hope that Plex will resume work, because there is simply no better service.

Same problem.
Waiting for solution with all my family and friends.

I was also looking for ways to buy a lifetime Plex Pass. Now I understand that paying 100+ $ does not make sense, there is no guarantee that Plex will not fall off completely, or will not fall off later.

The whole problem is authorization. If local authorization had been added, without the participation of the Internet, there would not have been this problem, but they will not be able to do this, since they will not be able to sell Plex Pass, a vicious circle.
We need to wait for an official response, we were left with no other options.

I also confirm the problem on the side of providers in the south of the Russia:
Rostelecom (PJSC Rostelecom)
Dom.ru (JSC ER-Telecom Holding)
Beeline (PJSC VimpelCom)
This means that the option of blocking through TSPU looks the most likely.

For plex employee, if you have not encountered this “TSPU complex” before - this is a software and hardware complex of the Russian Internet supervisory agency (Roskomnadzor or RKN), that allows you to limit access to information to “counter threats”

And recently, public foreign DNS servers (Google, Cloudflare) and cloud-servers (AWS, Microsoft Azure) have often become subject to such blocking, which is why the speakers above had questions for them.

Moreover, in theory, they can filter a certain type of traffic, which is why all “pings” go through without problems.

I will keep my fingers crossed for you and follow the topic :3
In the meantime, I’m trying to build my own VPN solution that will allow me to watch my home library

p.s. If the plex pass gives me the opportunity to have a completely offline system (with an LG TV) - I’ll buy it at the same moment and will advise everyone

seems like it got back on.

working)

confirm, working

Megafon Moscow is working. Thanks guys!

In Yoshkar-Ola (Ufanet provider) still not working :frowning:

update: Working, Thanks You!

I have a question for developers - how to prevent this in the future? Because if the plex.tv site is not accessible why do all local clients get stuck in infinity loading? They can’t use cached credentials or the client needs to check its license every time it loads (I have a lifetime btw)?

@zedalert They are cached but when you turn off your TV or clear you browser history or restart your device, etc, those are gone.

There are a few instruction on you can find here and reddit about how to use without internet. Just look up “plex without internet” and you will find them.

I cannot imagine the current behavior will ever change on our end.
