I've cancelled my Plex Pass - And it's all Plex's fault

Your new mobile app made Plex unusable for me. I have been a subscriber for 11 YEARS, and I am leaving over your insistence to turn your app into a gateway to paid media services. If I wanted another terrible Netflix, I would subscribe to Netflix.

With the latest update, your app refuses to connect to my library running on a home NAS. It is not possible for me to update it since none is available yet for my device. Great job Plex!

I’ve seen this direction coming for a while with your placing content over mine and trying to turn Plex into something it was never good at and I didn’t want, but I buried my head in the sand hoping Plex would see the error of their ways. Now, I guess I have to use Jellyfin or Emby.

I gave up a grandfathered Plex Pass that was almost half price of your current subscription since I now know you will not be returning to the application that you once were.

Do you know that all that Online Media sources can be turned off from the Server.

Absolutely I know that, but I still cannot use Plex when the app is not letting me connect to my server. It was the last straw.

That a bit strange, which version have / had Installed 2025.15.0 works. You may have to add Favourites to home page.

Long Press on a Library to see the menu

Are you actually leaving or is this more like, “help me get my server to work or I’m gonna leave!” kind of thing? Coz if you’re leaving, it feels like a waste of time helping you get it to work.

Did I ask you for help? I’ve been using Plex for 11 years, I think I have the handle on how to get it to work properly. I’m done with Plex entirely and their useless changes. You are welcome to go to another thread and imply they don’t know how to use the application and everything works for you so it must be a user issue.

Ok then, so you were just venting. Bye
