Jittery Video over wired connection

I'm getting jittery and somewhat grainy video. It kind of looks like a very slow frame rate. All my movies are 720p .mp4 ac3 audio over a hard wired gigabit connection to the XBOX One.

Any ideas why this is happening?

Hard to tell but here are some troubleshooting tips:

  • Try a different cable and switchport, could be your switch/router or cable
  • Try streaming an HD youtube video, to see if it's your Intenet if you are connecting remotely or if there might be some wrong with your Xbox
  • If you have a friend, ask him to bring his Xbox over (just tell him/her to unplug but bring console only so it's easier for him/her) and do a test with their system...or buy then return for testing :P

Can you play the same media on other plex enabled devices ok?

Did some troubleshooting. Tried connecting the Xbox wirelessly. Same result. Some 720p movies play perfect and other are jittery. All other devices, phone, and Surface play the videos fine.

I'm beginning to think it's just a bad Xbox One.

Changing the quality settings in the Xbox One app from Highest Quality to 4mps 720p seemed to help.

I noticed some of my films (animated mostly) have some pixelation issues, but will try adjusting the quality as it's also set on highest. Thanks.

I'm also seeing alot of pixelation on 1Gbps @ 720p and up. The audio is fine, but it looks like bad compression as the image get stuck in certain parts of the picture whilst the rest continues to move.

U get this pixelation its annoying I an not good enough to find out a fix
