I have the exact same issue that is posted about here.
I have plex installed on Truenas. It started happening after I update the hardware in the box. I originally was having an issue where the EPG data was not showing up. It turned out that the date in the BIOS was wrong so I corrected that and then when I updated the guide everything showed correctly. The issue now is that every channel I click on acts as if it has been in session for 5 hours, which it has not. Its as if as soon as I click on a channel plex thinks I have been watching it for 5 hours and prompts me to start from 5 hours ago or start live. I can click watch live and it works fine but its annoying to be prompted everytime.
I have completely recreated the jail in truenas and reinstalled plex and deleted and refreshed the hd homerun with no luck. I have also check the bios settings to make sure the mainboard timezone is correct, which it is. There must be a time setting plex is looking at that is wrong. Any suggestions would be appreciated!
In Plex, if you go to Settings → Manage → Console (or Settings → Status → Alerts) you can see timestamped log entries. Are they correct?
If you go to Settings → Manage → Troubleshooting, you can Download Logs. The first entry of every Plex Media Server.log file will include the timezone.
If those aren’t right we can work upwards to the jail/plugin and TrueNAS box.
Thank you so much, that was the push I needed to get myself unstuck. The timezone was infact GMT when I am EST. The timezone was EST in the TrueNAS GUI but when I ssh in and checked it it was showing GMT. I just changed the timezone, saved and then changed it back. Checked in again and it was now showing correctly. I checked and the guide is now working properly,
Thanks again for the help and sorry, I should have been able to work that out. Take care!
