im wanting to co -join another server , i use server4you in germany as its reliable and very stable and cheap… 6tb, and wanted to buy another 6tb server, put them together so one main servers see’s them both… been told to tunnel them, together also been told just make another server and add it as shares, whats best way i just want one, so i dont have to change from server 1 to server 2, as it looks un-profesional. any help from anyone please.!
any help would be appreciated too many people asking the same questions , but needs to be as simple as it can be.,
i have 2 server 2x6tb servers based in germany on dedictated 3gbit line fast, so my question is, what is the best way o join them both together (2 diffrent ip address outside of local) but both based with server4you.net. in germany, backed up my own dvds / blu rays / tv shows and music, for all my family. to view, its bang on over the last 3 years but ive decided to make it better as server4you has made me a offer to make it bigger with another 6tb of space for cheap… with same 3gbit line, so , how in the heck can i tunnel them both together,
using server 1 and main thats running now, and new one as server 2… how can i join them together, plex designers should incorporate something into the system by being able to join two together easy, maybe a thought for dev designers,! any help appreciated. plus try make it as simple as you can due to the fact i dont want too loose all my data on server 1, thanks in advance.
If you are getting the second server just for the extra 6TB of storage then a much better option would be to use G Suite for Business for $10/€8/£6.60 per month with unlimited storage on Google Drive (the 1TB storage limit with less than 5 users has never been enforced). Store all your media on Google Drive & use rclone to mount it on your server.
i get what your saying but googledrive is SOOO SLOW." i want responce, as cloud servers just seem to be really slow and take forever to load. i want something with a little more umpth, process quicker, and server4you is fast its a quadcore i7 32gb ram, 6tb 3x2tb drive setup. and really fast. 3gbit line, so quick responce and can cope with traffic i throw at it, i appreciate your input thanks for takin the time, to put that too me, il look into it still its a option i spose, you say unlimited storage , but then you said 1tb storage, limit so which is it mate, so to be shure, thanks lee.

If you look at the promotional material for G Suite for Business it states that if you have less than five users at $10/€8/£6.60 per month each then each user is limited to 1TB BUT this is not in the T&Cs & never mentioned when you actually sign up & certainly has never been enforced. So if you sign up for G Suite for Business yo pay $10/€8/£6.60 per month & get unlimited storage.
Google Drive is plenty fast enough to stream video via Plex. Even a full UHD Blu-ray remix is only going to be 50Mbps while I see >30MBps when copying a single file to/from my seedbox i.e. 5x faster.
You keep your existing server with all the i7 oomph & just mount Google Drive on that. It just behaves like a local disk on the server. You can sign up for a 14 day free trial so why not just give it a whirl?

best way would indeed to have not 2 separate Plex servers but to link the storage of the 2nd to the existing Plex server
this what i want to do… but a HOW TO… would be great i use ubuntu, just purchased another server,. so how can i add this new server without dammaging one with all data on it , can i possibly add another by adding it as a network drive into server…
