Just got a Plex Pass - struggling to see the point

I was interested to see the Lyric display so I thought I’d give it a try. I bought a one month sub and figured if it’s great I’d go lifetime. However, I’m not getting any lyrics. I built a “premium” library from my iTunes media following the instructions. I live in the UK so as far as I can tell it should work. It doesn’t. I’ve just tried to log into my home server from work and I cannot. So all in all pretty disappointed. I think the biggest issue is that it’s all a bit complex. Great if you’re a computer tech but if you’re just a regular user like me most of the help seems highly complex.
Criticism aside, it does a nice job of looking pretty playing movies etc.
I don’t suppose anyone will be able to give me a simple solution so I guess I will not be persisting with this.

If you can’t be bothered to listen to other people’s help then no it’s not for you.

Have you actually asked for help? Did you follow the proper steps for asking for help (as found in the Support area)?

Did you go to the support area and see if you can learn anything?

I have read the few posts you have posted over the years and most of them are vague with very little detail. If you expect help you need to help us help you.

Yes, I went to the support area and tried to make sense of it. I cannot. Actually the problem may not have been the plex server at home, because plex at home seems to be telling me that it is sharing. So maybe that particular issue was at work.
I found a few youtube videos helpful, but I didn’t find the information here very helpful. I’m just giving honest feedback. The information here just seems too complicated. There seems to be too many variables.
I have several albums missing for example. Anyway, if it works for you then great. It’s not working for me so I will go back to iTunes for music - which I was perfectly happy with.
