Lyrics on linux

Hello,
I am a Plex Premium member mainly for the music support. One of the selling points for me was the lyrics support.
However I can’t get it to work.
I have it checked off in the Agents section of settings. There’s tons of log entries and items in the metadata folder that seem to imply it’s working.
However, on the Roku there is no lyrics icon, and when playing from the server PC, the “LYRICS” link is grayed out and not clickable.

Can someone please help with troubleshooting?? I like the Premium Pass artwork and artist info, but I really want lyrics to work also.

you should be able to edit the default agent settings or configure the settings of your newly re-created library

for the full Plex Pass functionality, make sure your music library is a “Premium Music Library” – you cannot convert an existing library… just create a new one and link it to the same source folders.

LyricFind can also activated for the Premium Music Library agent

Followup:

Right after posting this, the Lyrics icon showed up on the Roku player. So it actually works sometimes.

Could it be that there’s that many albums not supported by LyricsFind? My albums are mostly extreme metal, so not exactly ‘popular’ I understand. But why would even ‘mainstream’ metal like Metallica not work??

Is there any way to search LyricsFind, to see what albums are actually supported?

Yes, that’s what it looks like.

Metallica Master of Puppets is about the most mainstream album I have.
Can anyone check to see if they have lyrics available for it??

This is also dependent of your country.
What might be available to me might not be available to you.

LyricsFind properly licenses their lyrics, contrary to many other ‘lyrics websites’ out there.
A negative side effect of that is that they have to negotiate with each artist’s lyrics rights holder for every country separately.
Which leads to differences in the availability.

I don’t have lyrics for MoP either.

In HK, Ubuntu backend. - work fine here.

Im in the same boat. I have 500 gb of music, and not one song has lyrics. Plex pass member on Ubuntu.
