Oh I should also mention I set up a user called Karaoke who only has access to the karaoke library. That way you don’t get movies mixed into your search results.

i don’t know how dead this subject is but i also would love to use plex as my “karaoke machine” i have dnas already set up for all my tv shows and going to be adding another dnas for my movies music and karaoke, would love for one program to be able to handle EVERYTHING.
and converting is NOT an option as i am a professional KJ and i have WELL over 50k tracks.
so Plex, guess all i can ask is PLEASE make some sort of support for zipped mp3+g. i am aware that most all KJ’s use that format if they haven’t went to online services, but this sure would make my live easier for my “at home parties” i love to throw
Can somebody with PlexPass paste the link to the feature request page for karaoke, so people with PlexPass can vote it, as +1 the idea on this forum ultimately achieves nothing…

I see lots of people requesting this feature on the web for years but it seems that it keeps getting overlooked as Plex developers may see Karaoke as a small community. Lets show that there is much more interest in this. Thanks!
