It seems like Karaoke would be a natural extension for Plex. It’s already setup to use auxiliary files like poster art, backgrounds etc. It seems like it would be just a natural evolution to be able to read CDG files along with MP3’s and play karaoke. That would open up a whole new genre of users.
Am I missing something?
I can’t find any way to do this or plug-ins that support it. All posts I find reference to computer software which does not work with my TV.
Please let me know if there’s a Plex based solution that I’m not aware of.
BTW: Converting all my karaoke songs using some subtite utility is not a solution. Good karaoke companies do a great job of displaying the music ahead of when you sing it. That needs to be preserved (like it’s done in the CDG file.)
