Keep movie trailers out of my library

Greetings all,

I’ve had PLEX now for many years and one thing that has always bugged me that I just can’t figure out, is how to keep movie trailers from displaying in my main Movie Library on different devices.

Many of my movies have a short trailer. No problem.
The problem arises when PLEX scans my movie folders and plops it in my library as an additional movie named as a trailer.
I don’t like that and it makes my on-screen library look messy.

Is there a way to keep these trailers out of a library scan so as not to display??
(and no, I don’t want to delete the actual file from the directory)

Many thanks for any tips or pointers to accomplish this.

Trailers usually don’t get mixed up with the library.
If they do… how did you name those files and how are they organized in your regular library folder?

If you organize/name them correctly, they’ll show up as local extra for the respective movie (or as a dedicated trailer button on the movie page).
