Keep Plex Crash Logs ? keep crashlogs?

Server Version#: plexmediaserver_1.24.4.5081-e362dc1ee_amd64.deb
Player Version#: Plex Web 4.66.1

FYI: it’s only crashing after I added ~1TB of music so it may not be done ‘scanning’ music (about a week or two) but if I knew what it was doing around the time of the crash … DUH LOGS … I could but yall frakin’ upload them and then proceed delete them LUL …

Search plex logs around timestamp of kernel panic …

Nothing in the logs … like yall take my crashlog and then upload it … and then delete it for me so I can’t see it … !?

After attempt to upload dump files, we move them to the path $TMPDIR for the Plex Media Server process

Look for file with name of 010a1adc-16d7-462a-7fbfd7b3-a1f35f86 - on some platforms there is a .dmp filename extension - for others there is no extension

Nope

find / -iname “010a1adc

I went though the logs and deleted any songs entire album that errored out when scanning the MP3 etc. Still looking for a MP3/FLAC integrity scanner I can run on my 1TB+ Collection … but it was only a handfull that errored out

file must have got purged from $TMPDIR

If you get more crashes please save the logs zip. It would be one of the Plex Media Server.log / Plex Media Server.x.log that would have the sequence leading to the crash

and when looking at the crash logs, for any log lines like this

or other representing a dump identifier like 010a1adc-16d7-462a-7fbfd7b3-a1f35f86 please look for file with name starting with that string within $TMPDIR

I don;t know offhand where $TMPDIR points to on a Plex Media Serve linux installation - if there is a tmp folder under the Plex Media Server application support folder or it would be /tmp

I reviewed the logs and removed any audio folders (albums) with errors in plex. I think it was that no crashes in weeks !
