Keep showing collections in Library view after applying a search filter

The only time collections are shown is with “All” selected (without any search criteria applied)

But if I want to show only unplayed movies, filter by genre or year, etc, then collections are discarded.

I would like the option, or possibly a change in default behavior, to keep displaying collections.

Tangentially, it would also be nice to be able to apply search filters when viewing movies inside of a collection as well. For example, I have a Marvel Comic Universe collection, and it would be nice to hop into that collection and and then click “Unplayed” to see what I have left to watch.

Thanks for your suggestion. There’s already an existing suggestion discussing that particular topic based on the example of filtering a library for unplayed/unwatched items. Please comment/vote in that thread in order to help us avoid distraction or cannibalizing votes.

Movie Collections not showing with 'Unplayed' filter

QNAP Server v1.22.3.4392 Web Player v4.56.4 Hi, When filtering the library with ‘Unplayed’ ‘By Title’, collections don’t show up anymore, instead each movie in the collection is shown. Considering over two years has passed without that suggestion getting implemented, I’ll keep this post open for more visibility
