Hi,
When filtering the library with ‘Unplayed’ ‘By Title’, collections don’t show up anymore, instead each movie in the collection is shown.
Is this normal behavior or a bug?
Because if normal, I’ll certainly make it a feature request.
The way I’d see it work is:
Using the above filters, collections would always show unless all items in the collection have been played.
So say it’s a collection with 3 movies and 2 have been played, then the collection would show with it’s subtitle ‘1 movie’.
I can see where you’re coming from. From my point of view the current behavior makes sense too as it’ll show me exactly which movies inside a collection are unwatched – not only that there’s unwatched items in that collection.
That being said… we can move this post over into the #feature-suggestions category – from all I can tell there’s no request that’s already addressing this.

First off, as I explained, it doesn’t show Collections at all, only the movies contained in the collections, there is no Collection ‘folder’ containing movies. So very much as if the user had never created or used any collections, ever.
While what I’m suggesting would in fact show the Collection and only the unplayed movies part of that collection, as the filter ‘unplayed’ suggests.
I also would like to be able to still see my collections in library view.
I currently create Collections and hide items in library for large collections (Disney, Marvel, etc…) in order to have focus on what I want to watch easily. But if I use the filter unplayed, all my movies are not displayed in the collection anymore and are displayed in the library so I loose my focus on other movies
