Keeps asking me to update, but doesn't go to newest version

Player Version#:1.6.2.994-e05b79d6

When I open either the browser PMS or the desktop app, it tells me that I’m on 1.18.2058 and that I can update to 1.18.8.2527. I click the update button, it runs through the process, then it still isn’t on the latest version.
This was through the browser PMS, does it make a difference? Or is it going through earlier updates instead of just going to the latest version? Although at first it told me “You are not connected directly to Home PC” even though everything is stored on the same PC, but it hasn’t given me that error when I refresh now.
