Last update causing buffering to display when a TV episode is nearly finished

Since the last update to Plex server (4.108.0), I have noticed that every time I watch a TV episode when it gets close to the end credits the buffering icon appears but the episode continues to play behind it. Once the credits end and the episode list comes up the buffering icon disappears again. I have no issues with movies only with tv episodes (even those I have watched before).

Could you please advise if this has been reported or noticed?

Can you provide some additional details so people can attempt to replicate?

Plex Media Server version? 4.108.0 is Plex Web. Look in Settings → Server_Name → General
Plex client & version?

Is this

  • Live broadcast TV using a tuner (live tv & dvr)
  • TV show recorded using a tuner (live tv & dvr)
  • Free streaming TV from plex.tv (live tv streaming)
  • A TV show stored on your server (playback)

Do you have subtitles enabled? If so, might it be this: Conversion failed playback error when subtitles are over (usually at the end) ?

My version of Plex server is: 1.32.5.7349
It happens when I watch TV episodes stored on my local server.
I do not have subtitles activated.
The client is the latest for LG smart TV.
