Latest NVidia Shield Plex app crashes Linux Plex Media Server (Live TV/DVR)

Server Version#: 1.18.2.2058-e67a4e892
Player Version#: 7.25.3.14365 (1a8c550e) (Nvidia shield latest)

With this version of the Player on NVidia Shield, any time I try to access “Live TV & DVR”, my Linux based Plex Media Server crashes.

Unfortunately, when the crashdump service that PLEX uses is contacted by the crashdump uploader, it receives the following error when it tries to upload the cxrashdump:

Dec 06, 2019 23:47:57.788 [0x7f105c3d8740] DEBUG - HTTP requesting POST https://sentry.io/api/1233455/minidump?sentry_key=xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
Dec 06, 2019 23:47:58.640 [0x7f105c3d8740] DEBUG - HTTP 429 response from POST https://sentry.io/api/1233455/minidump?sentry_key=xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
Dec 06, 2019 23:47:58.640 [0x7f105c3d8740] ERROR - Failed to upload crashdump xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

The crash appears to be so profound, that Plex Media Server is unable to write out any errors to the logs before it dies.

This issue was corrected in the most recent PMS update:

Or, if you’re not in a position to update, deleting and re-adding your DVR should fix it, too.

Updating is the best method. I worked with the Engineer to fix it.

I tried the deleting and re-adding the DVR and that did fix the issue.

Thank you.

I’ll wait for the next regular release now that I have a work-around.

I don’t think this is related to the issue discussed in this thread (server crash due to DVR issue); you’d likely be better served by creating a new thread and providing as much detail as possible.
