Latest Plex Server Update (1.19.3.2740) won't start on Synology 918+

Hi guys,

just received an upgrade notice on my PMS and after doing the install, Plex won’t start.

“Failed to run the package service”
Synology 918+
Server Version#: 1.19.3.2740-add6f438d-x86_64.spk

weird… Synology shows it as stopped … but it appears to be running … as I can play stuff… lol

With this version on my DS918+ it failed to install on the first try. I just retried installing the same package file a second time and then it worked.

It has also happened to me.

The only solution i found was to complitely remove plex and any files it leaves on the hdd even after remove.

After that i was able to install start the server and upgrade again.

Now i have a problem with the lib not being recognized.

Same issue here on Synology DS916+.
Reinstalling the PlexMediaServer-1.19.3.2740 not helped. No rollback to PlexMediaServer-1.19.2.2711 possible, so, still using Safari I’ve downloaded again PlexMediaServer-1.19.3.2740 and it worked.
