Latest public build broke my game library

The latest public build broke my game library, any game i click on i get the hourglass forever, what am i missing?

Assuming you mean of server. Which player are you using?

i am using edge i just right click on my plex server and play games locally, i have about 13000 games which were working before, so i did the update on my Windows, my movies and tv shows are still working but none of the games are…

Can we get the server logs after you try to start a game.

it halts here, but my parsec server is already up and it was working fine before this update, what else am i doing wrong?Plex Media Server.log (72.3 KB) Plex Game Transcoder.log (5.7 KB)

That seems to indicate a networking error inside Parsec. Are you sure it worked in Edge? Chrome is the known working browser.

Is it possible after the upgrade you need to allow networking again for Plex Game Transcoder?

Usually you get a popup before allowing it, i also tried it through Nvidia Shield and no dice, if you check the forums there is another user with the exact same issue so i am not the only one

Regards

Given that it doesn’t work in all clients, it’s likely something on the server side. The error you showed me is related to networking, hence my suggestions. Please verify Plex Game Transcoder.exe is allowed, and perhaps test with firewall disabled.

Same issue, i noticed that Plex Game Transcoder.exe is in the exception list already, i disabled the firewall and nothing happened

Do you know what version you were using before? Given that nothing should have changed remotely close to this area in the last release or two, it would be helpful to confirm it works with an earlier version.

Yes the public build before this one i can check the logs to find out, just a sec

1.21.4.4079

Thanks very much, there were some game transcoder changes in there, but none that I can see might have caused this

(Gaming) Allow h/w encoding for parallel N64 core.
(Gaming) Fix for games not saving state on Windows.
(Gaming) Move to using nearest neighbor scaling for sharper rendering.
(Gaming) OpenGL v2 and v3 rendering pipelines.
(Gaming) Use passed in display dimensions to render at a higher resolution.

I know we have people successfully using the newest version on Windows, so let me circle back here and verify with testers.

I would also be interested to see a Plex Media Server log with DEBUG log enabled (but NOT verbose). Many thanks!

Hold on a sec use passed in display, how does it know which display i am running multiple monitors i always play on my second monitor but now how does it know where to render with that option, i hope your testers have multiple monitors too… i will get you the log nexfPlex Media Server.log (28.8 KB)

Now it is showing me this error
Parsec account not found. Ensure that your Plex account is linked to a Parsec account.

Error code: 8001 (Account)

I guess it timed out, but it never did that before

Relink your account and see if that helps?

It works! What happened though?

I’m not sure, the account linkage isn’t supposed to expire.
